The XOXO Pendant may be new, but the practice of using XOXO to express “hugs and kisses” (or, more accurately, “kisses and hugs”!) has been around for quite some time. Many theories abound about just exactly how and when the practice started. A poem published in 1893 wondered: “Why do our sweet sentimental young misses / In love letters make little crosses for kisses?”
